Networking is an important tool for your business.  Why would this be the case?

How many people do you know who can help your business?   Then how many people do they know?  The list can be endless which is the reason why the more networking you do, the more your name will become widely known.

There are a number of networking groups but sometimes it is difficult to know which one is best for you.  It is a matter of locating groups and then setting aside time to go to at least one of their meetings.  Most networking groups allow you to attend at least once, if not twice, before deciding if you would like to join.

Once you have joined, you need to take time to get to know the other members, and give them time to get to know you.  Once you have established a trusting relationship with them and feel confident in providing them with referrals to your clients, you will soon discover that your networking and patience pays off.  You will begin to receive referrals and they will 9/10 be qualified referrals.

What does that mean?  That means that your networking buddies will have already advised their client that you are the best, trustworthy and worth giving a go.  Don’t let them (or their client down) – there will be more referrals to follow.
